Terms and conditions
As a professional, I prefer to work in a transparent way. Transparent in the sense that you can see exactly how a quote is structured.
I provide a quote that outlines the estimated number of days the work will take, which is always an approximation.
There will also be a separate line for travel costs. Travel costs are made up of fuel, car depreciation, time, and URSAFF contributions.
I completely understand that you may be surprised by the explicit mention of this on the quote, but I believe it's very important in the context of being transparent.
Additionally, with the quote, you will receive a separate materials invoice, which details how much and what materials I will need. This is also always an approximation.
do not charge VAT on labor hours and travel costs (there is a possibility this may change soon, given the government's plans on this matter!). Materials are subject to 20% VAT.
Upon agreement of the quote, a 30% deposit is required. The materials invoice must also be paid before the work starts.
The remaining balance must be paid within 2 weeks after the completion of the work.
For projects lasting longer than 10 working days, an interim invoice will be issued halfway through the work.
Labor hours/days and material quantities are always indicative, but as close as possible to the actual amounts.
Despite my careful planning, it may still occur that I need more or less time and/or materials.
If additional time and/or materials are required, this will be discussed with you beforehand. If less time and/or materials are used, the difference will be reflected in the final invoice.
Quotes are valid for one month, but if more than three months pass between the acceptance of the quote and the start of the work, and in the meantime the required materials have, for example, increased in price by 20%, we may need to make an adjustment to the existing materials invoice.
When I send you the quote, it often includes a start date.
My goal is to start on that date, but unforeseen circumstances may sometimes require me to adjust the start date.
For example, if prior work takes longer than expected, or if my work at your place is outdoors and working is not possible due to weather conditions.
